Sarah Gross

As a trained counselor and college career advisor, Sarah is passionate about guiding and coaching students through decisions that impact their futures. She feels that a part of the college admissions process should be about students’ self-discovery - what motivates them, what they care about, and where they can thrive both academically and personally. While the process can feel overwhelming for students and families, she enjoys helping them navigate each step with clarity, encouragement, and a student-centered strategic approach that reduces stress and empowers informed decision-making.

In addition to working as a consultant with CBC, Sarah has been a career advisor at Northwestern University for the past seven years working with students across engineering, journalism, social policy, and pre-law. Regularly advising Northwestern students on internship/job, graduate school, and law school applications, she has extensive experience in essay and application review. Drawing on her background in working for Northwestern Undergraduate Admissions, career development, and student advising, she hopes to help students identify colleges that align with their academic interests and long-term aspirations.

She graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with her BA in psychology and communications. She also holds a Master's in Education from DePaul University with a specialization in College Counseling and Student Affairs.
